Discovery Community College has onsite/in-person instructing opportunities available for the right individuals, to help guide our students through all aspects of their HCA training (theory, lab and clinical)

Our instructors play a vital role in changing lives and positively impacting the health care sector in BC, leading students through their training towards becoming fully qualified and desperately needed HCAs.

We have a number of different schedules available (days, evenings and weekends) so you could have it all!!

• Our instructors have the opportunity to teach part time or full time or teach and nurse intermittently.

• Earn and learn – competitive wages ($33 to $40/hour based on experience and credentials).

  What you have:

   

• Passion for making a real difference required!

• Current full registration with the BCCNM – required.

• Two or more years of full-time nursing experience – required.

• 2800 hours of nursing experience

• nursing experience must include working with older adults with complex health needs

• Nursing experience must include experience or orientation in home support and multi-level care

• Ability to teach adult learners (mentoring / instructing)

• Provincial Instructors Diploma and previous experience or

• Aptitude and willingness to learn and obtain an Instructor Diploma (with our help)
