Health & Safety Specialist – Metal Fabrication & Industrial Operations

Location: North York, ON jobsnearcanada.com Full-Time jobsnearcanada.com Pay: $70,000/year

Are you passionate about creating safer workplaces in industrial operations?

Are you experienced in training forklift and crane operators to work safely and efficiently?

We are looking for a Health & Safety Specialist in the metal fabrication and industrial manufacturing sector to lead safety programs, deliver operator training, and ensure compliance with OHSA and industry best practices.

What You’ll Do:

• Deliver certified training for forklifts, bridge cranes, man lifts, and Working at Heights
• Conduct operator evaluations and re-train as needed
• Perform workplace inspections, hazard assessments, and risk analyses
• Maintain safety documentation, training records, and compliance reports
• Guide safe practices in machine guarding, PPE, ergonomics, ventilation, and hazardous materials
• Support incident investigations and corrective actions
• Collaborate with supervisors and safety committees to foster a proactive safety culture

What We’re Looking For:

• 3–5 years of health & safety experience in metal fabrication, industrial services, or heavy manufacturing
• Certified trainer for industrial equipment; CRSP, CHSC, or equivalent is an asset
• Strong knowledge of OHSA and related regulations
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills
