Position: Health & Safety CoordinatorLocation: Kamloops, BCSalary: $65,000 per yearHours: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pmSummary:Axis Family Resources Ltd. is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Full-Time Health & Safety Coordinator to help create a safe and supportive environment across our BC locations. In this role, you’ll be a vital resource for JOSH committees, offices, and specialized housing programs, offering leadership and guidance on health and safety matters. Your responsibilities will include supporting employee leaves, monthly safety inspections, investigating incidences, ensuring compliance with WorkSafe BC requirements, and making thoughtful recommendations to enhance safety.   • Post-secondary degree or post-baccalaureate diploma with a focus on human resources management or health & safety
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the health & safety field, or a combination of education and experience
  • Related experience in social services is an asset
  • Knowledge of COR certification process is an asset
  • Levels 2 – S WorkSafe BC asbestos safety certification is an asset
  • Reliable transportation and a valid BC driver’s licence
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Strong ability to manage concurrent tasks and meet various deadlines
  • Clear Criminal Record Check (agency conducted, expenses covered)
  • Level 1 First Aid – provided through Axis
