PAL Technical Services is driven by technology and is proud to be a pioneer of industry-leading innovations in airborne special missions.A leader in international aerospace and defense design, development and operation of airborne surveillance aircraft, line maintenance, heavy maintenance checks and modifications, we provide a wide range of aviation and related services to domestic and international markets.PAL Technical Services is currently hiring Heavy Check Maintenance Supervisors for our team in Winnipeg, MB.Our Operations:Heavy Checks: Heavy maintenance checks on company and customer aircraft.Our operations are a fast-paced, dynamic operation including a variety of scheduled heavy maintenance.

• Our team currently maintains both DHC-8 and ATR aircrafts

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the maintenance, repair and overhaul of all aircraft and aircraft components
• Responsible for the Technical Dispatch of all aircraft from the standpoint of maintenance performance in accordance with the MCM
• Ensure sufficient tools and equipment are made available to accomplish the maintenance and inspection functions
• Responsible for the administration of quality and safety practices and procedures including but not limited to:
• SMS reports
• Safety inspections
• Injury reporting
• Toolbox inspections
• Responsible for the supervision of an assigned workforce and monitoring employee performance
• Monitor the serviceability of required tools and equipment and report any deficiencies
• Maintain the workshop and hangar facilities in a clean and orderly manner
• Participate in resource discussions and recruitment process as required
• Other duties as required

Qualifications:

• Required: Transport Canada approved Aircraft Maintenance Course completed or have equivalent experience through a program such as ICS;

• Preferred: M1/M2, S or E license or equivalent rating.
• Experience on the following aircraft is preferred:

• Dash 8-100/200/300 and/or Dash 8-400
• ATR 42 / 72
• Demonstrate strong organization and communication skills to interact professionally with team members
• Thorough knowledge of company aircraft and their related systems
• Ability to plan and organize the work processes and work packages in the shop environment to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency of the production team.
• Ability to manage people
• Ability to deal with and work in pressure situations and under timeline constraints both independently and in a team environment
• Must be flexible to work all shifts and adapt to fluctuations in shift times due to operational and/or unforeseen situations.
