We are currently searching for a Human Resources Coordinator (or Generalist) based in our Edmonton office.Reporting to the Chief People & Culture Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the People & Culture function with activities related to Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, HR Operations, Employee Relations, Talent Development and Talent Management that support our company vision “To be an employer of choice, providing our people with a supportive and fun place to build a career, while bringing inspiration and innovation to our work.”What do we offer?

Your responsibilities will include:
- Support the entire People and Culture function in delivery of world class Human Resources programs and services across the business.
- Support the Talent Acquisition function with recruitment activities such as updating job descriptions, posting jobs, sourcing and contacting potential candidates, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, conducting references checks, and extending offer letters.
- Support the function with continual improvement and execution of employee onboarding programs to ensure a delightful new hire experience.
- Support Total Rewards activities such as data analysis, participating in salary and benefits surveys, supporting compensation and benefits reviews, and developing and updating program materials.
- Support HR Operations activities such as HR administration, creating templates and letters, sending out documents, and creating and updating policies.
- Support employee communication activities such as employee communication materials, presentations, memos, or other company communications.
- Support Employee relations activities such as investigations, responding to employee and manger inquires, and supporting benefits and leave administration.
- Support Talent Development and Talent Management activities such as managing our Learning Management System, supporting developing and organizing employee training, applying for government grants and funding for employee training and development, and supporting the development and implementation of programs designed to retain, engage, and develop our people.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and provide information and support.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of all applicable employment law and legislation applicable to all jurisdictions the business operates in.
- Other duties as assigned to support the success of our people and the business.
Job RequirementsWhat you will bring:
- 1+ years of Human Resources experience (or 4+ years for generalist);
- Degree or Diploma in Human Resources or related field;
- Understanding of employment legislation across Canada and human resources best practices;
- Prior experience gained working as part of a Human Resources function and providing Human Resources services for business operations within Canada;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationship and work as part of a team;
- Customer service centric style with ability to provide world class Human Resources services that delight internal and external customers.
