About the team you are joining
Ground Operations team drives global
development, implementation and adoption of the standards and best practices.
The area of work includes safety, standardization, innovation, efficiency, auditing, and
sustainability. Our team is the main contributor
to the success of the ground operations product and services portfolio, which
includes various standards manuals (AHM, IGOM), IATA training courses, IT
solutions as well as IATA Ground Handling Conference.
Our team is results driven, energetic, and
hardworking, consisting of junior and senior talents with several years of
operational, safety, audit, and leadership experiences.
What your day would be like
Reporting to Head of Innovation & Efficiency
(OSS/Ground Operations) the candidate will be:
Develop standards, recommended practices in the scope of ground operations:
– “Ground to Ground” digital communication and data exchange protocols (e.g. aircraft turnaround, ramp to load control, ground ops to airport, etc..)
– “Ground to Aircraft” digital communication and data exchange protocols (e.g. Digital NOTOC, Loadsheets and trim sheet etc..)
– Digital aircraft data for the purpose of load control and ramp handling
Drive the digital transformation of ramp and
load control processes to enhance operational efficiency, safety, and
compliance.
Drive the integration of new technologies,
including automation, data analytics, Artificial
Intelligence (AI), and mobile solutions, into ground handling solutions
and workflows
Develop and maintain the concept of ramp of the
future, integrating new technologies and process automation
Analyze ground operation safety occurrences collected by IATA and work with the industry on their mitigations
Develop and maintain standards, recommended practices, and procedures for the IATA Airport Handling Manual (AHM), IATA Ground Operations Manual (IGOM), Ground Operations XML toolkit (GOXML), and ISAGO Checklist.
Represent and advocate IATA best practices with
regulators such as ICAO, EASA, and other regulatory bodies
Ensure compliance with industry regulations
(IATA, ICAO, local authorities) and company standards in all digital
initiatives.
Analyze operational data to identify trends,
risks, and opportunities for process optimization.
Foster a culture of innovation and digital
adoption within the ramp and load control areas
Act as a subject matter expert on
digitalization in ground operations, representing the company in industry
forums and working groups.
We would love to hear from you if
10 years of experience in ramp and/or load control operations.
A technical diploma/degree is desirable.
Experience in process and aircraft turnaround operations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
Analytical and innovative thinker with careful consideration for details.
Demonstrates risk-taking, innovation, independence, self-confidence, and the ability to push oneself out of the comfort zone.
Very good stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate with people in a multicultural environment across different regions and gain consensus.
Dynamic personality, flexible, team-oriented, and able to show initiative.
Travel Required: Y 30%
