This is a great opportunity to work with a dynamic team passionate about creating positive experiences in children and youth education while being able to gain professional development. As this position is funded by a grant, candidates need to identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, Inuit) and must be currently residing within the Greater Toronto Area.Position Title: Indigenous Education Coordinator TraineeDepartment: EducationReporting to: Manager, School VisitsType of Employment: Contract, one year, April 1, 2025-March 31, 2026Number of Vacancies: 1Rate of Pay: $22 per hourHours of Work: 35 hours per week, Monday to FridayWork Location: On site, at our waterfront campus in TorontoSummary of FunctionReporting to the Manager, School Visits, the Indigenous Education Coordinator Trainee will support Indigenous content delivery in Education programs. Responsibilities include administrative and programming tasks such as program registration, materials preparation, and delivery of Indigenous Studies programs. The role also involves contributing to program renewal, assisting with Summer Camp programming, and curating a monthly internal email highlighting Indigenous events and initiatives. Additionally, the trainee will collaborate with other departments for personal and professional development.Duties
