InSite Operations Manager

Clean Harbors in Kitimat, BC is seeking an Operations Manager to join their team in the Kitimat region. As the Operations Manager, you will lead a safe, ethical and profitable operation with full P&L responsibility for the local branch consisting of a highly trained team for both environmental and industrial cleaning operations. As a regional leader, you will guide a best in class service, further expanding Clean Harbors geographic footprint throughout the area.

• 5+ years of facility/operations management experience.
• 2 years of P&L management experience
• 5+ years’ experience managing hazardous waste projects/operation
• Valid class 5 driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Commercial Driver’s license is highly preferred.

• Enforce the policies and procedures as they relate to Health & Safety.
• Responsible for H&S issues surrounding projects assigned, including reviewing of operational procedures to assure correct.
• Oversee waste management activities at a customer or group of customer locations.
• Manage and coordinate the efforts and Health and Safety oversite of the Clean Harbors onsite employees for customers’ air, water, and/or hazardous waste programs.
• Ensure utilization of all equipment and manpower is maximized
• Develop, monitor and measure against operational and financial KPI’s.
• Meet with customers as needed to ensure customer satisfaction and to resolve any pending complaints or issues.
• Establish processes to measure performance of all personnel to continuously improve performance levels
• Ensure infrastructure and employees are equipped to conduct business efficiently and are able to perform well in their jobs
• Guide the professional development of personnel.
• Develop and ensure compliance with all company and customer policies and procedures.
