Our Banking client is looking for an Intermediate Business Analyst (data management, capital markets, UAT)Length: 6 months contract with the possibility of extensionLocation: Toronto, Ontario (Hybrid) – 3 days working from the office and 2 days working from home (scheduled)Working Hours: 9 am – 5 pmLine of Business: Capital Markets, OCOOReason for Hire: ongoing project – support CRDEstimated Start Date: January 13th, 2025ROLE MANDATE:
The Client Data Management and Governance (CDMG) group is responsible for driving the Capital Markets (CM) client reference data strategy, building out the client reference data architecture, supporting client lifecycle operations and data governance activities. Reporting to the VP – Client Data Management Operations, the Business Analyst plays a key role in providing business and data analysis to support a large data driven, cross-business initiative in the client reference data space. This role will require understanding of Capital Markets account and client reference data, a strong working knowledge of data models, and technical skills in data tools and technology. The role includes requirements elicitation, requirements documentation, analyzing and mapping data attributes across business systems, user acceptance testing, and facilitating communication between multiple lines of business.ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and gather detailed business requirements
• Develop and document business process models to illustrate current and future states
• Document of business requirements, processes, and solutions
• Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions
• Communicate findings, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholders and executives
• Propose process solutions that meet business needs and objectives
• Work with business and IT departments to implement solutions and ensure they align with business goals
• Participate in testing and validating new systems and processes to meet business requirements

MUST HAVE SKILLS:

• 2-4+ years of business analysis and data management experience in a similar role within the financial services industry (Data Analysis and Profiling, Reference and Master Data, Mapping, Documenting)
• Proficient in Excel
• Solid understanding of data management practices (data profiling, matching, cleansing, mastering, and exception management)
• Knowledge of Confluence and Jira, or an equivalent application – highly preferred

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS:

• Experience with client reference data, account data, and/or Capital Market trading products preferred

EDUCATION:

• Completion of a university degree and/or relevant professional designation is required

INTERVIEW PROCESS:

• 1st round via Teams with HM & HM’s 1-up – Behavioral – 30 minutes
• 2nd round in-person/online with Team
