Canadian National Railway Company (CN) is looking for a highly motivated person to fulfill a full-time (40h/week) Intern, Human Resources Operations position in Montreal, QC from May – Aug 2025.

Job Summary

The Human Resources (HR) Operations is responsible for preparing data and reports for Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) involving recruitment, retention, and talent management activities. The position strives to find the optimum approach to visualize data and articulate results concerning diversity, engagement, and retention. The role performs data entry and other clerical assignments as needed. The incumbent conducts research, analysis, and transactional support. Additionally, the position participates in regular HR activities, including talent review processes and recruitment activities.

Major Responsibilities

· Retrieve reports for HRBPs

· Strive to find the best ways to visualize data and articulate results

· Assist HRBP with talent review and recruitment activities

· Perform data entry and other clerical assignments as needed

Requirements

· Excellent communication skills in English

· Applies critical thinking

· Communicates with impact

· Ability to analyze processes and data

· Demonstrates active listening

· Time management

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), including SharePoint

Education

· Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Labour Relations or related field

*Any experience/education/skills/knowledge for these above would be considered as an asset
