What are your contributions to the team?
Provide legal support to various internal teams, including, sales, contracts (aircraft transactions), marketing, communications, and flight operations.
Draft and help negotiate an array of commercial agreements, including license agreements, marketing agreements, pilot services agreements and non-disclosure agreements.
Conduct legal research on a range of legal topics relating, notably, to commercial law, contract law, private international law and privacy law, and communicate your findings to the legal team in writing or by way of oral presentation.
Support the due diligence process applicable to customers from all around the globe in accordance with anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing rules.
Gain insight into what an in-house career within a large public company is like.

How to thrive in this role?
You are enrolled in a university law degree program.
You are a Canadian citizen or have the required visa/immigration status to work full-time at Bombardier.
You have business acumen and a demonstrated interest in commercial law.
You are excited by the prospect of working with smart, motivated lawyers in the fast-paced business environment of a global company.
You are bilingual – French and English and have strong drafting skills in English.
You have experience reviewing, drafting or analyzing contracts.
You have experience conducting legal research and drafting clear and concise legal memoranda.
You have the ability to work autonomously, to prioritize and to multi-task.
You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams that include lawyers, engineers, sales people, and marketing or strategy analysts.
Knowledge of the aerospace industry and the availability for an extension of the internship are assets, but not requirements.
