IT Help Desk Technician – Entry-Level

Our client is a well-established manufacturing company based in Mississauga, known for its commitment to quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement. They are seeking an enthusiastic Entry-Level IT Help Desk Technician to support their internal teams and help maintain smooth day-to-day technical operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support to employees via phone, email, and in person
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and peripheral issues
- Set up and configure desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment
- Assist with user account creation, password resets, and access control
- Log and track all support tickets in the help desk system
- Install, update, and maintain software applications
- Support IT projects, system upgrades, and equipment rollouts
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT personnel as needed
Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in IT, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic understanding of Windows OS, Office 365, networking fundamentals, and common hardware
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Eagerness to learn and take initiative
- Previous help desk or technical support exposure (co-op, internship, or volunteer experience acceptable but not required)
