Salary: $23.00 to $24.00

Our client, a leading industrial company in the East End, is seeking a Junior IT Technician for a 6-month contract with potential for long-term growth. If you’re eager to launch or grow your IT career, this is a fantastic opportunity to get your foot in the door!

Required skills and qualifications:

• Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Strong technical skills, with knowledge of Windows operating system and MS Office
• Basic understanding of computer hardware and software installation
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with help desk software and ticketing systems an asset
• Familiarity with Mincron, Outlook, and Webex a plus
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Fluently bilingual (English and French) a strong asset

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for users, following established procedures
• Set up and configure new devices, including computers, phones, and printers
• Support users with MS Office, Windows, and Webex, and assist with onboarding new employees
• Create and manage user accounts, including Outlook, Windows, and Mincron
• Assist with multi-factor authentication (MFA) setup and troubleshooting
• Place orders for IT supplies, such as printer toner, as directed by the IT Technician
• Support month-end processing and issue resolution, and act as backup for Mincron troubleshooting and support
• Perform additional duties as required, including support ticket management and communication with application support teams
