You’ll play a pivotal role in representing our expanding portfolio, engaging with top healthcare professionals in Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, and Dermatology, while also shaping programs, accounts, and health systems. As a true business owner, you’ll be responsible for crafting and executing a local strategic plan aimed at increasing protection for patients from vaccine-preventable diseases. If you’re passionate about making a real difference in healthcare, this is the role for you!RESPONSIBILITIES:As Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for successfully building and executing strategic territory plans, accelerating partnerships with key HCPs, accounts, and health systems stakeholders in targeted therapeutic areas. This strategy will be executed in alignment to GSK Values and Mission: To unite science, talent, and technology to get ahead of disease together. How we do this is through our people and our culture. A culture that is ambitious for patients, accountable for impact and rooted in doing the right thing.Reporting directly into the Regional Business Manager, Specialty Care Vaccines, this field-based role will be accountable for one of five territories:British Columbia

  • Cover BC major centers where our customers practice. This KAM role will be based in the Vancouver area.

Alberta/Saskatchewan

  • Cover Alberta with a focus on major centers where key target customers practice including Regina and Saskatoon. This KAM role is based in Alberta- either in Calgary or Edmonton.

Ontario West

  • Territory will cover all of ON West covering Guelph/Hamilton/Burlington, also Windsor/Sarnia, Niagara, Mississauga west/Oakville/Orangeville. And as far North as Owen Sound
  • KAM role is Ideally the candidate will be based in Guelph/Hamilton/Burlington area.

Toronto- GTA/Winnipeg

  • Cover Toronto Core where our customers practice including east Mississauga, Brampton, Woodbridge areas and Winnipeg,
  • KAM role is ideally based in GTA-Toronto area.

Ontario North East

  • This territory will cover Eastern and Northern Ontario
  • As far North as Sudbury/Thunder Bay
  • Kingston, Peterborough, Scarborough.
  • Candidate ideally located in Ottawa

Primary ResponsibilitiesWork with targeted therapeutic HCPs and administrative leaders to drive process implementation within programs, accounts, and health systems/networksDevelop a deep understanding of the local therapeutic patient journeys and key decision makers’ objectives/goals to effectively identify opportunities to partner, aligned with commercial strategic objectivesApply an entrepreneurial mindset, innovative approach, and a willingness for bold cross functional communication & collaborationBe a key contributor to a performance-driven environment by bringing a positive mindset and commitment to hold self and others accountable for delivering on cross-functional objectivesDevelop and execute strategic territory account plans to surpass territory commercial performance objectivesBuild and grow a network of targeted external HCP and administrative stakeholders, understanding how patients, health care professionals and systems communicate, and could make vaccination recommendations throughout the patient journeyDisplay an appetite for curiosity, garnering insights into each program, account, health system environment and enabling development/execution of innovative solutions to meet customer needsEffectively engage external stakeholders in scientific discussions to ensure promoted brand is optimally prescribed to the right patients at the right timeEmbrace and advocate for multichannel digital/virtual engagement and communication to ensure customers are receiving current and timely communications/valueIdentify and leverage internal and external resources to develop and execute tailored customer valueEmbrace accountability and empowerment to make agile decisions with focus on key business needs/impact, while maintaining a “bigger picture view” and ensuring prioritization to overall team objectivesEffectively manage territory spends/budgets to ensure optimal impact and ROIProvide ongoing territory/account analysis and identification of market dynamics that have the potential to impact national/regional/local business and contribute to opportunity or mitigation planning and implementationLead and deliver regular performance to objective reviews to commercial leadershipDemonstrate a strong understanding and application of the GSK code/valuesIn addition to internal national and regional meetings, overnight travel will be required for external conferences.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree completed3+ years of experience in institutional specialty sales/KAM rolesStrong understanding and experience in execution of key account management principlesExcellent communication and engagement skills (virtual and live)Ability to clearly articulate complex content to management, peers, and customers both in individual conversation and group presentation levelsStrong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, a natural curiosity, and an ability to actively listenStrength in challenging both self, peers and status quoSelf-motivated, agile, entrepreneurial, and committed cross functional communicator/collaboratorAbility to effectively work and thrive in a cross functional team-based environmentAbility to quickly move insights to strategic and tactical implementationAgility to successfully work in a dynamic, complex, and changing environmentSkills in budget ownership and ROI analysisWorking knowledge of computer technology, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and agility to learn new programsValid driver’s license*Ability to travel within territory and domestically as requiredPreferred Qualifications:Specialty Care KAM experience (minimum 2 years) ideally in Rheumatology, Dermatology or Gastroenterology is preferredStrong working knowledge and proven performance in program, account, and health systems-based markets/landscapesBilingual English/French*This position requires the employee to drive routinely on company business and allows for the provision of a company – leased vehicle.
