As an organization built on a foundation of diversity, it’s important that our team members are representative of the students from more than 150 countries that we support.ApplyBoard is currently seeking a Law Clerk and Legal Operations Lead interested in leveraging their broad skills to support the legal team achieve our Mission. This role is to be remotely based in Toronto or at the HQ office in Kitchener, with primary activities including Legal, Trust and Policy Division operations and administrative support, management of global secretarial and compliance standards, and stock plan administration. You will report to our Chief Legal Officer and Secretary (or designate), work closely with our Legal, Trust and Policy Division, and collaborate with Procurement, Marketing and Finance teams as needed.Some of what you’ll be doing every day:Administrative support and operations for the Legal, Trust and Policy Division;Reviewing and supporting master register and template maintenance, including terms and conditions, customer contracts, employment agreements, vendor agreements, professional services agreements and confidentiality agreements;Filing and assisting as the subject matter expert of contract management and e-signature solution management;Assist with corporate secretarial duties for all entities and act as the subject matter expert on legal entity management solution using Athennian; andAct as the lead for stock plan administration using Shareworks;What you bring to the table:Four Year (accredited) College degree BA/BS5+ years of law firm and/or in-house legal department experienceStrong problem-solving, strategic and creative thinking and decision-making abilitySelf-starter and ability to take ownership, drive projects and myriad deliverables by working independently with focus in a fast-paced environmentThe ability to effectively prioritize and balance competing tasksExceptional organization skills are required for our constantly evolving prioritiesStrong and tactful interpersonal skills, professionalism and a calm communication style essential for team-based work in an environment where you are excited by ambiguity and creative problem-solvingDeveloped presentation skills with colleagues and internal clients of all levelsDiscipline to maintain confidentiality of privileged and highly sensitive informationExemplary attention to detailExperience with stock plan administration is an assetWhat’s in it for you:The opportunity to have an impact on a product that is positively affecting change in thousands of students lives every dayCompetitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.Flexible work arrangements and the ability to work from anywhere.Personal Spending Account (PSA) Program.Employee Family Assistance Program (EFAP) for mental health and wellness support.Company perks, including exclusive discounts and special pricing for memberships.Milestone celebrations and recognition of achievements.Collaborative and inclusive work environment.Professional development and growth opportunities.#HybridAbout ApplyBoardApplyBoard empowers students around the world to access the best education.
