We are growing our in-house legal department with passionate and skilled litigators who seek to build on their existing advocacy and analytical skills in a supportive work environment.
Aviva Trial Lawyers is a leading insurance defence team with offices located across Canada, including St. John’s. The team is comprised of 200 lawyers, trial clerks, law clerks and practice assistants who are dedicated to serving the needs of Aviva’s diverse range of personal, professional, and commercial customers. While we have the resources of a large team nationally, lawyers in our Regional Team (including St. John’s) also enjoy the supportive collegiality and independence of working in a smaller office environment.
Our dynamic team of lawyers enjoys rewarding work in a variety of areas including motor vehicle litigation, occupiers’ liability, professional liability, commercial liability, multi-party construction litigation, product liability litigation, property claims and subrogation matters. Members of our team participate in all phases of the litigation process, including trials and appeals.
Our progressive leadership team embraces the use of technology in the practice of law and takes pride in the ability to offer its lawyers a hybrid work model that promotes flexibility, collegiality, collaboration, and mentorship in both a virtual and in-person setting. Our unique 1:1 lawyer/clerk ratio allows our lawyers to work efficiently in partnership with Aviva’s claims professionals and customers.
The successful candidate will have relevant experience in litigating personal injury claims. Additional experience in property, commercial liability, homeowner liability or multi-party construction litigation is an asset but not a requirement.
Lawyers who choose a career with Aviva Trial Lawyers enjoy an attractive compensation package with meaningful opportunities for career advancement and professional growth.
Aviva Trial Lawyers celebrates diversity and is committed to providing an inclusive and equitable workplace.
