Write the next chapter of your ABB story.This position reports toLocal Business Area Manager-Motion CanadYour role and responsibilitiesIn the role of HR Business Partner (HRBP) for the Local Sales Unit, you will act as a strategic partner to the leadership team, providing HR expertise and support to drive business objectives. You will have the opportunity to develop and implement people strategy in line with business goals, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring the effective implementation of HR policies and programs. Each day, you will provide HR support for the Motion Canada team, by partnering with respective managers. You will also showcase your expertise by representing HR in the business and establishing strong relationships with all business leaders and employees. This role is contributing to the Motion business area in Canada. You will be mainly accountable for: • Collaborate with leadership to understand business goals and develop HR strategies that support these objectives. Building and promoting the HR pillars and priorities for Motion Canada, in line with the business strategy. • Oversee talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies to ensure the sales unit has the necessary skills and capabilities. Identify training needs and coordinate development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth. • Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns, mediating conflicts, and promoting a culture of open communication. • Ensuring an effective overall HR contribution and value-add to the business in partnership with the functions and Shared Services. • Supporting the business and the execution of HR processes involved across the end-to-end employee lifecycle by determining and delivering the best approach in the area of responsibility and executing the HR priorities while adding value to the business. • Monitor and analyze HR metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement, and provide regular reports to leadership. • Facilitating change management initiatives and driving behavior change & continuous improvement across the respective business area. • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and ABB policies, and manage employee relations issues in accordance with legal requirements.Qualifications for the role
- You enjoy working with employees from coast to coast and have experience supporting all levels of management in an organization.
- You have at least 5 years of experience in HR, with at least 2 years in a business partner role.
- You have experience in change management and supporting teams through change.
- You are passionate about employee wellness & well-being, career development and talent advancement.
- You have strong knowledge of HR best practices and local labor laws.
- Proven experience in working in a large global organization and collaborating with functions and Shared Services. Experience in a sales or commercial environment is an asset.
- You are at ease communicating in French and English as this role will support employees and leaders across Canada.
