Position Title: Logistics Coordinator

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Logistics Coordinator, the Logistics Coordinator ensures that all orders are processed in a timely manner. Ensures that the products shipped match the requirement of the delivery orders and that the purchased items received match the requirement of the purchase orders. This includes ensuring materials meet the required specifications and are shipped or received in the proper quantity and condition.
Responsibilities:

Respond to internal/external customer/supplier concerns.

Arrange special services (e.g. Expedites) as required.

Monitor transportation activities.

Keep management aware of progress, developments, and pending problems.

Ensure compliance with all applicable H & S regulations and standards.

Coordinate with other departments such as Customer Experience and Planning & Production to ensure a smooth transition from sales order to delivery

Communicates shipping information to customers as required.

Communication with Customer Experience on customer deliveries.

Fills out paperwork, including invoices, bills of lading, customs papers, waybills, etc.

Establishes and maintains good customer relations.

Follow shipping schedule and distributing to affected personnel.

Inputs purchase order receiving information into the ERP system.

Scan hardcopy of shipping & receiving documents, and upload into ERP system.

Generates NCR’s for nonconforming material and updates NCR tracking system when receiver activity assignments are complete.

Ensures that products received are identified properly in accordance with appropriate Quality Assurance procedures.

Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
-
High School Diploma or GED required
-
Enrolment in CITT/P.Log. designation an asset.

3 to 5 years of related experience is an asset.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to multi-task and execute a wide range of details and tasks quickly and effectively.
-
Good judgement/problem solving ability, along with strong interpersonal skills.
-
Ability to work independently.
-
Ability to maintain records and keep track of all areas of responsibility.
-
Collaborative team player.
-
Ability to check orders on trailers.
-
Well versed in Microsoft Office Suite of products
-
Able to walk and stand for long periods of time and carry up to 20 lbs.
