Winnipeg, ManitobaOn behalf of our client, Keener Jerseys, we are recruiting for a Logistics Manager. The Logistics Manager will oversee and optimize global supply chain processes to ensure the efficient and timely movement of goods. This role involves collaborating with internal departments, suppliers, and logistics providers to manage inventory levels, minimize costs, and meet customer demands. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and experienced in developing workflows and writing procedures to improve operational efficiency.As the Logistics Manager, you will:

• Lead and mentor the Logistics Department staff.
• Develop and implement supply chain strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement and shipment of goods.
• Monitor inventory levels and create strategies for efficient and secure inventory management.
• Analyze market trends, demand patterns, and customer needs to forecast demand and plan procurement activities.
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers/vendors, negotiate contracts, and build strong supplier relationships.
• Monitor inventory levels and develop strategies for efficient and secure inventory management.
• Coordinate with logistics providers to plan and execute transportation, warehousing, and distribution of products.
• Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain performance and track progress against targets.
• Evaluate and mitigate risks in the supply chain, including supplier and materials risks.

You and Your Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in supply chain management, procurement, logistics, or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain concepts, best practices, and industry trends.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, demand planning software, inventory management systems).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and logistics providers.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and international trade practices.
• Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CSCP) is considered an asset.
