Job Title: Logistics Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Logistics Manager to oversee warehouse operations, manage logistics processes, and ensure smooth production flow. This role involves overseeing a team that handles material offloading, production line feeding, final product offloading, palletizing, and order fulfillment. You will manage and ensure the efficiency of warehouse operations, working closely with supervisors and other plant functions to meet customer service targets and achieve plant objectives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day management of material, finished goods, and logistics teams to ensure smooth production and customer satisfaction.

• Ensure optimum quality service in transportation and warehouse of finished goods operations.

• Collaborate with cross-functional plant planners and logistics teams for effective planning.

• Develop long and short-term planning for site volumes, capacity requirements, inventory levels, and resource requirements.

• Own data gathering, analysis, and capacity provision for LE/AOP.

• Manage supply plans to mitigate business risks in plant tactical plans.

• Develop and implement strategies for the logistics and planning department to exceed plant objectives.

• Agree on analytical policies for all production lines and products on behalf of the site.

• Support data gathering and analysis to establish SLA agreements with central supply planning team.

• Manage dry goods to ensure minimum stock holding and write-off while improving availability to policy for customer service.

• Lead communication between all areas, including Central Supply Planning, Material Teams, Production, Dispatch, Spirit (blending), and Material.

• Identify and develop process improvement opportunities in conjunction with the Super-User/Process Improvement Team.

• Deliver the daily load plan.

• Ensure workspace cleanliness and organization, and comply with Occupational Health and Safety requirements and legislation.

• Support the maintenance of ISO/FSSC/HACCP systems and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety and Quality policies.

Essential Skills

• University degree with relevant experience in production facilities, preferably consumer products.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficiency in planning systems and processes.

• Strong knowledge and capability in SAP.

• Experience in a unionized setting.

• Excellent planning and organizational skills.

• Computer literacy.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in logistics management.

• Experience in inventory and supply chain management.

• Supervisory experience.

Work Environment

The role operates on a day shift from 3 PM to 11 PM at our Amherstburg facility. The work environment involves standard warehouse conditions, and adherence to safety and quality standards is crucial. The dress code is typically casual but must comply with safety regulations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 – $125000.00/yr.
