Job Overview

Express Employment is looking for detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our Client. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of machinery, ensuring high-quality production standards while adhering to safety protocols. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, quality control measures, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Position will lead to permanent and long-term employment for the right candidate!

Shift: 7am-3:30 pm Monday to Friday

Responsibilities

Perform heavy lifting (up to 150 lbs with team assistance)
Use light power tools, including drills and rivet guns
Assist in placing bumpers on carts (3-person team lifts)
Basic assembly and fastening using drills and screws
Forklift operation is an asset (not mandatory)
Operate and monitor machinery, including press brake machines and other fabrication equipment, to produce high-quality parts.
Conduct quality control checks using calipers and other measuring tools to ensure specifications are met.
Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic repairs as needed.
Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Machine Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to following safety protocols and maintaining a safe working environment.
Comfortable with physical tasks and repetitive lifting
Previous experience with hand/power tools
Able to follow safety procedures and work well in a team
Forklift certification is an asset
