Job Summary

Express Employment Professionals – Fraser Valley is seeking a Maintenance Technician / Millwright on behalf of our client, a well-established food manufacturing company dedicated to excellence, safety, and innovation. Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment, including extruders, dryers, bagging lines, conveyors, and robotic systems.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and optimize mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems to ensure minimal downtime.
• Maintain and update maintenance records and documentation.
• Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout, before performing maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate closely with production, quality assurance, and management teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors to complete maintenance projects efficiently and within budget.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
• Participate in ongoing process improvement and cost-control initiatives.

Qualifications

• Certified Millwright or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing or food production environment preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Familiarity with conveyors, motors, pumps, packaging machinery, and VFDs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to be on-call for emergency repairs when required.

Assets (Not Required but an Advantage)

• First Aid, WHMIS, or Food Safety certification (HACCP).
• Boiler operator ticket.
• Forklift or aerial lift certification.
