Get inspired, get involved, and ignite your future with IMAX!Job Description:About the RoleIMAX is looking for a Manager, Financial Reporting to join our growing Finance team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Financial Reporting, we’re looking for someone who will have accountability for the full management reporting, financial accounting and analysis for IMAX Corporation consolidated. You’ll work with complex and challenging technical issues within U.S. and IFRS environments and over 30 entities with international operations and joint ventures.What You’ll Do:Manage, prepare and review quarterly filings for the U.S Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and SEDAR+, including 10Qs, 10Ks, 8Ks, Sarbanes- Oxley Certifications, etc.Complete the monthly financial reporting consolidation of approximately 30 subsidiaries and affiliatesCoordinate and manage all audit and review engagements with external auditorsManage and review consolidated financial statements and detailed monthly reporting packagesReview and analyze financial statements of subsidiary and corporate companiesManage and prepare Board of Directors reports and key statistics used and distributed in conference calls and Board meetingsResearch, analyze and assess the impact of U.S. and Canadian accounting standards and pronouncementsLiaison for tax and budgeting and planning departmentsWhat You’ll Need:5+ years’ financial/corporate accounting experience, including auditing public companiesCPA/CAStrong understanding of and ability to apply U.S. GAAP and SEC public company reporting requirements (including SOX 404), as well as working knowledge of IFRS.Previous people management experience with demonstrated leadership abilitiesStrong computer skills and proficient with Excel and accounting softwareNice to Have:SAP experience a plusHands-on team player, able to interact professionally with all levels including staff outside of the Finance group and external auditorsKnowledge of ASC 606 and ASC 842Self-motivated, objectives-oriented individual who is able to work under very tight deadlines with a strong attention to detailExcellent problem-solving and researching skillsAt IMAX, you will be part of a culture built on respect – we are committed to creating a welcoming and diverse atmosphere across our organization.For consideration, please apply online.
