Purpose:

The Manager, Investment Communication & Product Experience is responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining a series of communication tactics and content-rich investment support to grow and retain proprietary investment fund market share and enhance the overall advisor and client experience. The scope of the role includes supporting advisor, client, and wholesaling audiences spanning across multiple channels and proprietary brands. The position requires strong written and verbal communication skills and a deep understanding of investing principles and mutual fund and ETF product mechanics.

The key responsibilities of the Manager, Investment Communication & Product Experience include, but are not limited to:

Investment and Product Communication . Develop clear, consistent, and compelling product positioning and investment communications for advisor and client audiences, leveraging excellent creative and copywriting skills, strong product and investment knowledge, and a good understanding of priority channels. Craft and/or edit persuasive original content for use in various marketing and communications activities, sales enablement campaigns, product launches, presentations, and advisor and client-facing publications. Produce and project manage regulatory and ongoing fund commentaries, including the Management Reports of Fund Performance on a semi-annual basis and fund commentaries on a quarterly basis, working closely with Portfolio Managers, Fund Administration, Compliance, internal stakeholders, and/or external partners.

Market commentary and insights. Lead the management, production and approval process of contextual, accurate, and timely market commentary and portfolio manager insights, working in close partnership with Asset Management’s channel partners, Portfolio Managers, Distribution teams, external vendors, Product Management and Portfolio Solutions. This will extend across a variety of deliverables and mediums, including regular market reviews, portfolio manager round tables, podcasts, webinars, conference calls, presentation material, and digital platforms.

Product Experience. Work closely with the Product, Training, Marketing and Distribution teams to develop new product launch, onboarding, and training materials to build, enhance and sustain advisor knowledge and confidence with investment fund conversations. Respond to field inquiries and actively solicit input and feedback from stakeholders on ways to improve support. Contribute to the development and maintenance of digital advice tools, including data sourcing, testing, project management, content development, and creating support materials. Lead and/or support special projects aligned to Asset Management’s innovation mandate spanning product development, client experience and operational efficiency initiatives.

Do you have the skills to enable you to be successful in this role? We would love to work with you if you have:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within the financial services industry, preferably with demonstrated experience in the following functions:

  • Investment/Product Communication

  • Digital content

  • Product Marketing

  • Mutual fund sales and/or investment advice

  • Post-secondary education, preferably in Business, Economics, Marketing or Communications and or/related work experience.

  • CFA, CIM, CFP or other financial designation or courses an asset.
