Account Manager – Advanced Wound Management (Mississauga, Ontario, Canada)

Life Unlimited. At Smith+Nephew we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living. The Medical Education Manager AWM – Canada plays a vital role in Smith and Nephew’s educational initiatives, supporting healthcare professionals (HCPs) through well-structured, high-quality training and education programs for Advance Wound Management in Canada.

What will you be doing?

In this role, you will ensure the smooth delivery of medical education initiatives, using both in-person and virtual formats to support healthcare professionals (HCPs) at every stage of their careers.

As a Medical Education Manager, you’ll work collaboratively with cross-functional teams—including Sales, Marketing, and other Medical Education departments—to align educational programs with business goals and compliance requirements. Your responsibilities will also include identifying and engaging key opinion leaders (KOLs), supporting faculty involvement, and incorporating innovative digital tools to improve learning retention and skills development. Through the execution of dynamic and effective training experiences, you’ll play a key role in strengthening Smith+Nephew’s reputation as a leader in professional medical education.

What will you need to be successful?

To do well in this role, you’ll need solid skills in planning, tracking outcomes, and managing budgets. You’ll assess where learning gaps exist, refine educational programs to address them, and ensure resources are used wisely. It’s important to evaluate how well programs are working and make improvements based on what the data shows. You should also be comfortable using digital tools to deliver education—whether through webinars, live-streamed events, or on-demand content—and find creative ways to make learning more engaging and accessible. Keeping content schedules on track, especially around product launches, is also part of the job. You’ll need to follow all relevant rules and regulations and stay up to date on changing standards in the field.

The role calls for strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to juggle multiple projects without losing focus. Being detail-oriented and able to think critically will help you solve problems efficiently. It’s important to be customer-focused, have a good sense of how the business works, and be comfortable using Microsoft Office and various digital learning tools.

  • Clinical knowledge of advanced wound management (AWM) is a plus.
