Marketing SpecialistAbout the Role:We are seeking a strategic and experienced communications leader to oversee external communications and media strategies. This role involves crafting compelling narratives, building relationships with media and influencers, and collaborating with internal teams to promote the organization’s vision, products, and initiatives. You will act as the public voice for communications in Canada, manage proactive and reactive media initiatives, and support leadership with key engagements.Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement communication strategies, including executive thought leadership, media pitches, social media messaging, and storytelling campaigns.
  • Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, influencers, and key stakeholders to strengthen the organization’s reputation and brand presence in Canada.
  • Collaborate with teams across marketing, partnerships, policy, and legal on campaigns, events, and media briefings.
  • Support leadership with executive communications, such as preparing for keynote speeches, press briefings, and public appearances.
  • Provide media training to company representatives and manage external agencies to support ongoing projects and press activities.
  • Partner with internal communications teams on broader initiatives impacting Canadian operations.

Qualifications:Mandatory:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience in communications within business, social media, traditional media, or non-profit environments.
  • Demonstrated success in creating and managing impactful media campaigns.
  • Strong skills in crafting communication materials for operational, company, or reputational issues.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain sound judgment in fast-paced environments.

Preferred:

  • Hands-on experience managing communications for operational or reputational challenges.
  • Success in delivering integrated media campaigns with measurable outcomes.
  • Established connections with media, influencers, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to simplify complex topics into engaging content.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to manage multiple projects independently across diverse teams.
