Location: Schenectady, NY or Princeton, NJ

Hybrid: Monday – Friday, 11:00am – 7:30pm EST

Pay: $78,000 – $105,000

The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. This position is also eligible for bonuses and benefits, which are not included in the pay scale provided.

As a Material Planner, Supply Chain, you will manage all aspects of raw material and finished goods planning. Your responsibilities include firming raw material requisitions, following up with procurement, converting process/work orders to production with accurate promise dates, and working with internal teams to schedule production. This position is also responsible for managing communicate between various cross-functional areas to resolve supply chain related issues. You will also be responsible for monitoring and reporting out all gaps in demand vs supply and risks that impact on time customer delivery and inventory targets.

Hybrid: This position requires you to work Monday – Friday from 11:00am – 7:30pm. Two days will be in the office (Tuesday and Wednesday)

Work Location can either be in Schenectady, NY or Princeton, NJ.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily review and creation of process orders with accurate promise dates based on raw material and production capacity

  • Firm all planned orders in SAP to generate demand to Production to ensure the customer receives their orders on time in full and in a reliable manner.

  • Focus on driving and maintaining high On Time in Full (OTIF) metrics.

  • Maintain close communication with Customer Service and Account Managers to manage expectations and provide updates when there are exceptions to on-time delivery.

  • Develop clear, sustainable, and reliable finished goods plans to maximize plant efficiency and on-time customer shipments.

  • Generate reports for aging inventory, excess/critical stocks, blocked stock, CDI and safety stock levels, as well an any additional metrics deemed to be necessary to contribute to the NA Premix SC KPIs and tracking dashboards.

  • Act as a link between Customer Service and Production providing information regarding process order status and issues affecting orders.

  • Work closely with Procurement to identify any potential supply shortages with dsm-firmenich and 3 rd party purchases and pro-actively identify solutions to mitigate the risk.

You bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent Experience in Production, Planning, or Inventory Analysis

  • Knowledge of SAP Materials Management and Sales and Distribution functions

  • Demonstrated statistical, analytical, and problem-solving skills using various software and tools

  • Familiarity with a variety of Supply Chain Management concepts and procedures e.g. MRP, Inventory Coverage, Operating Working Capital, Demand Planning, OTIF (On Time In Full).

  • Solid quantitative computer skills including MS suite.

  • APICS certification a plus.
