Salary: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour

Our client is a growing, locally owned company in Hamilton that specializes in aftermarket pump parts, precision repairs, and high-quality mechanical services. We are looking for a Mechanical Technician who enjoys hands-on technical work, 3D modeling, and supporting a tight-knit team.

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Operate a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) to support accurate inspections
• Create 3D models and machining drawings using SolidWorks
• Review blueprints and technical documents to prepare accurate estimates
• Collaborate with the sales team to develop client quotes and bids
• Coordinate and follow up on vendor purchase orders
• Prepare and inspect incoming/outgoing shipments
• Keep the workspace safe, organized, and running smoothly
• Support general shop duties as needed — we all pitch in when required!

Skills / Qualifications:

• A technical diploma or equivalent hands-on experience
• 3+ years experience in a mechanical, manufacturing, or technical environment
• SolidWorks (CAD) experience — 3D modeling & technical drawings
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Comfortable using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools
• Strong communication and teamwork
• Solid judgment and problem-solving abilities
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to build strong working relationships
• A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn
