This position is an 8-month co-op/new grad placement beginning May 2025.

About the role

The Medical Education Associate, Co-op/New Grad will support the Medical Education department with the development and execution of BSC’s Professional Education programs. They will support the team with content development, data research and analysis, data visualization, and other activities that contribute to the education and training of BSC’s products. 

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assist the team with the development of training and education content and tools needed to effectively meet learning objectives and support successful procedural skill transference (e.g. presentations, modules, videos, simulations, models, visualizations, gaming, etc.).
• Assist the team with analysis of post-program evaluations of content and faculty, remain aware of all changes that may impact training requirements, and provide input into changes/improvements to training protocols and materials accordingly.
• Research on topics of strategic importance to the medical education team, and summarize literature and other information as needed.
• Support the execution of BSC’s professional education programs through product education and training using available tools, models, and simulators.
• Specifically, assist with shaping, evolving, and developing the physician training curriculum and content for Boston Scientific’s transseptal access (previously Baylis) portfolio.
• Other activities and duties as required.

Required qualifications:

• Actively working towards or recently graduated from a degree in Life Sciences (Biology, Anatomy, Physiology, etc.)
• Excellent interpersonal skills are essential in this position
• The ideal candidate is both ambitious and empathetic
• Independent, self-motivated, and results oriented, with a positive attitude and a highly personable and energetic presence
• Proficient with summarizing data and information using PowerPoint and Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must
• Position is hybrid based in Mississauga office
• Valid passport (occasional travel to US, including some weekends)
• Must be able to lift and move large pieces of equipment (up to 60 lbs)
• Must be comfortable in clinical and pre-clinical settings

Preferred qualifications:

• Previous experience in sales and/or the health sciences industry is preferred
• A background in the cardiovascular field would be a strong asset
• Experience in clinical environment (cath lab, EP lab, or OR) preferred
• Experience developing and delivering educational content preferred
• Experience with research and data analysis and visualization preferred

Maximum Salary: $56800 

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com–will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

Compensation for hourly, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

Compensation for salaried, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

Compensation for sales roles is governed by Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives).
