The MRT uses their knowledge, skill and judgement in imaging technique and skill as well as radiation emitting equipment, together with an extensive knowledge of the principles of anatomy, physiology and pathology, image acquisition, treatment and radiation protection to deliver high quality care to their patients. The MRT ensures the care provided is safe, appropriate, tailored, timely, and maximizes the potential of the available equipment and resources.In this role, you will:

Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Abilities:
- Active member of the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologist (CMRITO) in good standing
- Knowledge and experience in multiple modalities
- Demonstrated commitment to best practice, standards of practice, and life-long learning
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the Standards of Practice of the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario, and the Health Professionals Act
- Proven knowledge of ALARA and radiation safety to act as a resource to technologist, other hospital staff, physicians and volunteers
- Intermediate computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office
- Must act as a positive advocate for the professional body of MRT ‘s and the Diagnostic Imaging Department
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving, decision-making and conflict management skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
- Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service when interacting with patients, families, colleagues and physicians
