Microsoft .NET Front End Web DeveloperBackground:Our client is embarking on several IT projects for 2024-25 and beyond. A significant focus is on the development of a technical solution for a long-term health research study spanning over 50 years. As part of this initiative, the Microsoft .NET Front End Web Developer will play a pivotal role in creating a modern visual identity for the program’s website and participant portal.Detailed Requirements:Our client is seeking a skilled Microsoft .NET Front End Web Developer to join the development team. This individual will be responsible for delivering a cutting-edge web application that aligns with business requirements and is deployed on Azure.Responsibilities:
- Web Application Development: Design and build web application components using Microsoft .NET, ensuring they are functional across various devices and browser platforms (iOS, Android, PC, Mac, etc.).
- Guidance and Mentorship: Lead and mentor team members through the design, development, configuration, testing, and implementation of web application components, including code reviews and performance tuning.
- Creative Input: Provide innovative suggestions to enhance the website’s technology and presentation. Review the current site and propose upgrades to its design and functionality.
- Security Implementation: Work with Microsoft Entra and Entra External ID to maintain security for external users and internal staff.
- Modern Web Solutions: Develop a sustainable and future-proof web solution that meets the program’s needs.
- Technical Feedback: Offer technical feedback on business requirements, identifying potential solutions, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Interface Solutions: Create and implement interface solutions, including APIs and messaging systems.
- Documentation: Prepare necessary technical documentation to support the project and facilitate knowledge transfer to support teams.
- Reporting: Provide work time estimates and regular status reports to the Provincial Manager.
- Problem Resolution: Diagnose and resolve any system defects that arise during development.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a liaison with healthcare and technical partners, representing the client’s technical needs and solutions.
- Team Meetings: Regularly attend weekly team meetings.
Qualifications:
- Technical Expertise: Strong working knowledge of .NET software development technology, database processing, programming, and modern web presentation frameworks.
- Security Knowledge: Experience with security technologies such as Microsoft Entra, Entra External ID, and Active Directory.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with industry best practices, technical designs, and system specifications.
- Communication Skills: Ability to present complex information clearly through written documentation and verbal presentations to diverse audiences.
- Problem-Solving: Initiative and independent judgment to solve complex problems.
- Leadership: Proven leadership and supervisory skills to guide project teams through various phases.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with all stakeholders.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Engineering, or equivalent.
- Diploma in Computer Technology or equivalent.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of web development experience using .NET.
- 3+ years of healthcare IT experience is preferred, particularly with data integration and interfaces.
- Experience in managing and mentoring technical development teams.
- Experience working in a highly integrated environment.
Deliverables:The .NET Front End Developer will be responsible for understanding the current state of the environment and existing development processes. They will provide direction and regular status reports, ensuring the redesign and refactoring of the program’s website is completed by March 31, 2025.Work Arrangement: Primarily remote, with occasional in-person attendance at meetings/workshops as required. Preference will be given to candidates based in proximity to the project’s main office in Saskatoon.
