Login to your McGill Workday account and apply to this posting using the Find Jobs report (type Find Jobs in the search bar).Supplementary postingNON-TEACHING ASSIGNMENTProject Occupational Health and Safety (OCCH 699D2)Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Occupational HealthWinter 2025COURSE DESCRIPTIONThe Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Occupational Health of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, McGill University, is seeking applications for a non-teaching appointment for 24 hours ($64.18/hr) to provide support on project deliverables for OCCH 699D2 Project Occupational Health and Safety (7.5 credits).Overview:Under supervision, the student will identify an issue relevant to occupational health and report on work accomplished (i) to review the present state of knowledge and (ii) to conduct a survey and make recommendations or to devise a study proposal and to carry out a preliminary feasibility study.RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for presenting and facilitating project deliverablesResponsible for the review of project proposals and proposed supervisors (faculty members) from studentsResponsible for guiding the student in the preparation of their reportCommunicate with faculty members and responsible for assigning one or more Occupational Health faculty members to provide a second review of final reportsResponsible to work with students to address to ensure that comments from reviews are addressed in a timely manner and an acceptable final report is deliveredHandle any issues as they ariseQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:MS or PhD in Occupational HealthPrior experience as a reviewer and a supervisor for OCCH 699 projectsPrior experience as a lecturer in the MSc program in Occupational HealthCertification as an industrial hygienistLocation: 2001 McGill CollegeStart and end date: January 6, 2025 to April 11, 2025This posting will expire at 00:00 am the day of the deadline to apply.
