*The WRHA Surgery Program offers basic orientation through the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN) Periop 101 Didactic course to successful applicants with no previous perioperative experience. This is an online, evidence-based, accredited course for new operating room nurses to learn the basic, core principles of practice. The successful candidate may be required to purchase the required textbook and reading material for this orientation course. Successful completion of the course within three months of their start date (prior to the end of their probationary or trial period) is a requirement.Certification/Licensure/Registration

This term position may end earlier as outlined in your collective agreement.This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.Please note that an employee is not permitted to hold two or more positions across the WRHA legal entity that combine to equal more than 1.0 EFT.
