As an Occupational Therapist (OT) on our team you are responsible for developing programs that enable individuals to participate, to their fullest level, in activities that occupy their daily lives. Your client-base will consist of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), as well as individuals of all other ages and needs.Salary: $40-50/hrSchedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday – 11AM to 7PM
Tuesday and Thursday – 1PM to 5PMTake an inside look at what you will do each day:

• Assess client needs and family priorities as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Travel to schools – both downtown and midtown (Mileage offered)
• Complete assessments using tools such as standardized tests, criterion or curriculum referenced materials, or checklists
• Develop and implement a treatment plan for each client, based on assessment results
• Develop reports as required
• Consult to Behaviour Analysts who supervise Applied Behaviour Analysis Programs for Children with ASD and other needs
• Work collaboratively with the family and other community professionals
• Maintain knowledge in current evidence-based practices
• Collect data and make evidenced-based decisions in treatment
• Supervise students pursuing education in Occupational Therapy
• Represent OT department in Monarch House by contributing to clinical policies and procedures and other centre-wide visions

Here is what you will need to be successful:

• At least 2 years’ experience working with children with ASD
• Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapist (OT)
• Experience and familiarity with assessment tools (standardized tests, etc.)
• Knowledge of current research and literature in the Occupational Therapist (OT) field
• Member of college (COTO) or COTO eligible
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to take initiative
• Flexibility in scheduling clients
