Job Type: PermanentOur client, a leading provider in the energy and services sector is looking to hire an Operations Analyst to support and enhance its customer operations processes. This is a critical role within the Operations team, responsible for managing transactional workflows related to energy services across multiple markets in Canada and the United States. The successful candidate will bring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally to drive improvements and ensure operational accuracy.Position Overview:The Operations Analyst will oversee the day-to-day processing of customer account data-including service enrollments, changes, deactivations, billing, and account maintenance. This role involves close collaboration with utility providers and internal stakeholders to resolve account issues, maintain data accuracy, and support reporting and performance monitoring.Key Responsibilities:– Execute and monitor daily operational tasks related to natural gas, electricity, and home services, including enrollments, billing updates, and service cancellations
– Maintain customer records and resolve complex account discrepancies in collaboration with utilities and internal departments
– Analyze transactional data to identify trends, support business decisions, and track performance
– Prepare and deliver regular reporting on enrollment activity using Excel and other Microsoft tools
– Participate in system enhancements, process documentation, and operational troubleshooting
– Support contract administration and the customer renewal process
– Communicate effectively with both internal stakeholders and third-party providers to resolve operational or technical issuesQualifications:– Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field
– Minimum 2 years’ experience in a high-volume transactional operations environment (experience in energy, utilities, telecom, or insurance is preferred)
– Strong understanding of data management, operational workflows, and system/process integration
– Advanced Microsoft Office skills-especially Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas), Word, Access, and Visio
– Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage competing priorities
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
