The 2025-26 faculty grid for this position is $73,263 to $112,656 based on years of experience and a Bachelor of Education. Faculty with a Masters will be paid at a higher range.

Mulgrave School is looking for an adventurous, passionate Outdoor Education Teacher to join our team during a maternity leave term. This is your chance to inspire students from Pre-K through Grade 12—with a special focus on Middle and Senior School (Grades 6–12)—through hands-on, curriculum-connected experiences in the outdoors.

In this role, you’ll design and lead unforgettable learning opportunities: from on-campus explorations to off-campus adventures, including overnight and weekend trips. You’ll also work closely with classroom teachers, helping them bring their curriculum to life through experiential education.

What You Bring:

  • Certification (or eligibility) to teach in BC.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Education (or equivalent).
  • Class 4 Driver’s Licence & Wilderness First Responder (or ability to obtain).
  • Teaching experience, ideally with Grades 6–12.
  • Energy, fitness, and a love of outdoor adventure.
  • A collaborative spirit and strong communication skills.

Bonus Points For

  • IB MYP/DP teaching experience.
  • PHE teaching background.
  • Certifications in outdoor pursuits (canoeing, kayaking, climbing, skiing, avalanche safety, lifeguarding, etc.).
  • Guiding experience and a passion for community building.
