Part-Time Academic for NURS4381.03 – Public Health Nursing – Fall 2025

The course provides an opportunity for students to advance their introductory knowledge of public health nursing principles, roles, and functions. Public health nursing integrates knowledge from public health and nursing science to promote, protect, improve and restore the health of populations. The focus will be on advancing their understanding and application of population health, priority setting and planning approaches, partnerships, public policy literacy and health equity.This is a 3 credit hour course delivered online asynchronously.This appointment runs from September 1 to December 31, 2025. The part-time academic instructor reports directly to the Associate Director, Undergraduate Studies Academic.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Qualifications/Requirements of PositionCandidates must hold a graduate nursing degree (PhD preferred), or related field, plus have relevant teaching experience and clinical expertise in the area of public health nursing.Experience with teaching in an online environment is an asset. All lecturers hired to teach online will be supported by Dalhousie to develop and deliver their courses from the Centre for Learning and Teaching (clt@dal.ca) and Academic Technology Services (support@dal.ca). Salary Range/Pay Rate As per CUPE Collective Agreement
