Salary: Academic starting salaries are determined based on qualifications and years of related experience as detailed in the collective agreement for academic employees.About the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology at Humber:
The Faculty of Applied Sciences & Technology (FAST) at Humber College offers a dynamic and innovative learning environment, combining academic theory with hands-on practice in fields such as cybersecurity, engineering, embedded systems, and skilled trades. With cutting-edge facilities, applied research projects, and strong industry connections, FAST prepares students for careers in emerging technologies and complex systems. Faculty members play an integral role in advancing research and developing future leaders in technology and applied sciences.About the Role:The successful candidate will be required to teach courses in the Information System Engineering program within the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology.With the expansion and growth of Humber programs in Computer Science and Software Development areas, the candidates are invited for following areas of Computer Engineering, including Cyber security, Cloud based development and Application, Data Security, Intrusion Detection and Prevention, and Network Modeling.You will be responsible for preparing and delivering course materials based on learning outcomes that are supplied to you for specific courses. You will also administer assessments in a timely fashion and submit grades. The incumbent will teach, develop curriculum, design/revise specific courses, create an effective and innovative learning environment for our students, assess student progress and achievement; work collaboratively with colleagues, participate in committees and related associations. Teaching will be assigned at the North campus and/or IGS (International Graduate School).Duration of Teaching Assignment: Winter, Summer, and/or Fall Semesters (January-April, May-August, September-December)QualificationsAbout You:

The successful candidate will have a M.Sc. (Ph.D. preferred) in computer Engineering, Software Development, Software Engineering or a related field of study with industry experience in relevant field.Experience/SkillsThe successful candidate must have polytechnic post-secondary teaching experience, or equivalent experience as a trainer in industry. The successful candidate must have Professional Engineer License in Province of Ontario (PEng).In addition, the successful candidate will have engaging and effective teaching skills, demonstrated ability to coach and support students, demonstrated experience managing classroom dynamics, strong knowledge and application of current pedagogical principles, a student focused approach and a demonstrated commitment to fostering innovation and positive change. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to and knowledge of principles of equity and inclusion, be a collaborative team player and be committed to a positive team culture.
