Position Title: Part-time Professor, Pharmacy Technician Program
Status: Part-time teaching contract (1-6 hrs/week)
Hours: 1-6 hours per week
Faculty/Department: Faculty of Health Sciences and Wellness
Campus/Location: North Campus
Salary: Academic starting salaries are determined based on qualifications and years of related experience.About the Faculty of Health Sciences and Wellness at Humber:

State-of-the-art facilities enhance learning giving students a solid foundation for placement experience.About the PT Professor, Pharmacy Technician Program Role:Knowledge of learning pedagogy, learning design techniques, educational technology, and authentic assessment are required for curriculum development. This individual will create innovative designs for courses that engage students in courses and modules that support a flexible, customizable, and personalized learning experience for students, and must have community pharmacy and compounding experience.We are accepting applications for part-time professors to participate in curriculum development and teach courses and laboratory classes in the Pharmacy Technician program.QualificationsAbout You:

  • Must be a graduate of a Pharmacy or Pharmacy Technician program.

Experience

  • Registered Member of the Ontario College of Pharmacists with a minimum of 5 years of work experience in their discipline.
  • Previous teaching experience, preferably at the post-secondary level.
  • Previous experience in curriculum development, coaching, working with mature adults, volunteer coordination, outcomes-based education, flexible learning, Blackboard, Banner, classroom management, and/or accommodation/human rights is an asset.
  • Additional competencies include, but are not limited to, strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills, commitment to teaching excellence, student success and inclusive teaching practices (i.e. Universal Design for Learning).
