Successful candidates will be required to perform work within Ontario and must be available to work on campus, as required.Hybrid Work: These positions require on-site presence and are not subject to hybrid work.Note: This position is located at the St. Thomas/Elgin Regional Campus, 120 Bill Martyn Parkway, St. Thomas, Ontario.Note: These are less than full-time temporary Faculty positions starting January 6, 2025, and ending April 2025.The St. Thomas/Elgin Regional Campus is seeking a qualified part-time temporary Faculty for the Fall semester to teach in the Construction Project Management – Essentials of Construction program (with a focus on estimation and familiarity with WinEst and Bluebeam software applications).
QualificationsGENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • A combination of excellent leadership and teaching skills with a strong commitment to academic excellence and student success
  • Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of learners
  • Superior computer skills and a familiarity with educational technologies are required
  • Experience with hybrid and online teaching preferred
  • Related industry work experience, previous college teaching experience and student evaluations are assets

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary 3-year BA in a related subject and/or Certificate of Qualification in a related trade
  • Background in engineering, architecture or actively working in the construction industry with a focus on estimation required
  • Minimum 3 years’ recent and relevant experience
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered
  • Familiarity with WinEst and Bluebeam software applications
  • Strong computer skills and a familiarity with educational technologies are required
