In this dynamic role, you’ll ensure seamless and efficient payroll processing across the globe by collecting and inputting payroll data with precision. You’ll maintain accurate employee records in our HR systems, assist with comprehensive global payroll reporting, and manage fund transfers. Additionally, you’ll support the administration of employees’ benefits, ensuring employees receive the best possible support. - Payroll Processing (Biweekly and Monthly):
- Assisting in all steps of the biweekly payroll processing for full-cycle payroll for Canada, the US and the UK.
- Creating and submitting monthly payroll data for each country to our 3rd party payroll providers.
- Collecting, inputting and reviewing payroll data, making necessary adjustments and posting payroll upon approval.
- Assisting with international employee vacation reporting.
- Preparing and managing fund transfers for global payroll submissions on a monthly basis.
- Participating in year-end payroll activities, including record of employment submissions, creating payroll codes, and other related tasks.
- Serve as the primary contact to assist employees with daily payroll-related queries.
- Benefits Processing:
- Maintaining and updating employee information in benefit, pension and employee perk programs.
- Acting as the initial point of contact for triaging employee benefit queries.
- Employee Data Changes Processing:
- Serving as the main point of contact for entering data into HR systems for new hires, terminations, job changes, etc and maintaining the Organizational Chart.
- Assisting P&C team members and P&C team members and employees with time management inquiries, including system updates for vacation, sick time, and lieu time.
- Additional Total Rewards responsibilities:
- Supporting various projects for the Total Rewards Team.
- Ensure employees are paid accurately and on time, significantly impacting the company.
- Treating employees’ personal information with the utmost seriousness, ensuring it is entered accurately and promptly.
- Quickly finding solutions to payroll issues, especially those impacting payroll deadlines or employee pay, ensuring smooth and timely payroll operations.
Essential Qualifications:
- University degree or college diploma in Finance, Business, Human Resources, or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience in Canadian payroll processing.
- Familiarity with HR systems (experience with UKG Pro, formerly UltiPro, is a plus).
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, with excellent Excel skills.
- High level of confidentiality, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to customer service and automation.
- Ability to build strong working relationships both internally and externally.
- Excellent problem-solving and judgment skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills to ensure payroll deadlines are met.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple competing priorities in a dynamic business setting.
- A critical thinker with a willingness to learn and develop.
- Independent and resourceful, with a proactive “can do” attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in benefits administration.
- Experience with US and additional global payroll processes.
