Job DescriptionAre you a focused and diligent individual looking to contribute and elevate your skills within a reputable team? We’re currently seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to support our client in Moncton, NB. This is an immediate contract opportunity available through the end of January with strong potential for long-term/permanent placement, ideal for a motivated individual looking to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities for the Job:

• Processing payroll (hourly and salaried) using Ceridian/Dayforce/Powerpay
• T4 processing and manual payroll calculations
• Tracking hires, benefits eligibility, and processing deductions
• Assisting with top-up payments (e.g., maternity leave) and other payroll adjustments
• Resolving payroll-related issues and inquiries
• Other payroll and administrative duties as assigned

Experience & Attributes for Success:

• Secondary education/training in payroll, accounting, and/or administration with a bookkeeping/payroll component
• Basic knowledge of payroll processes and concepts (experience with Ceridian/Dayforce/Powerpay is a bonus)
• Proficiency in MS Excel for payroll data entry and calculations
• Understanding of manual payroll calculations and familiarity with benefits tracking
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment
• Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently
• Open to students or candidates with relevant knowledge
