Are you an experienced Payroll & HR Specialist looking for a long-term contract opportunity? Our client in Mississauga is seeking a detail-oriented professional to manage stand-alone payroll and support various HR functions in an on-site role. This position requires someone who can handle the processing of bi-weekly payroll, year-end tasks, payroll report generation, and review timesheets and invoices related to agency personnel.Key Responsibilities:

• Process bi-weekly payroll for salaried and hourly employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Handle year-end payroll tasks, including T4, T4A, and RL-1 slips, and prepare annual filings.
• Generate and analyze payroll reports on a semi-monthly basis for upper management.
• Review timesheets of agency personnel and verify invoices under the agency.
• Administer employee benefits, liaising with insurance providers and educating employees on available programs.
• Maintain and update employee records, including new hires and employment status changes.
• Assist with HR functions, including recruitment, contract administration, and onboarding.
• Ensure compliance with ESA and payroll regulations.

• Applicant must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a payroll role
• Proven ability to manage stand-alone payroll in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now or Ceridian payroll system is required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
• Strong knowledge of ESA and payroll legislation.
• Must possess experience in benefits administration
• Ability to handle payroll for at least 100 employees is a must
