Personal Assistant and House Manager

Were looking for a Personal Assistant and House Manager for a private household.Our client, a highly discreet family based in West Vancouver, BC, is seeking a dedicated professional to manage their household and provide personal assistance. This role offers the unique opportunity to support a well-organized and dynamic environment while maintaining the utmost confidentiality.The Personal Assistant and House Manager will oversee household operations and assist with both personal and business matters, collaborating closely with an existing executive assistant and other service providers. This role requires the ability to have a flexible schedule and experience in this area is a must.Assistant and House Manager responsibilities: Manage and coordinate the principals calendar for personal and business engagements
Schedule, update, and confirm appointments for the household and principal
Oversee travel arrangements, including itineraries and associated logistics
Research and assist with personal shopping, gift selection, and preparation
Plan and coordinate private events and household gatherings
Recruit, train, and supervise household staff
Manage household inventory, supplies, and organizational systems
Provide general pet care, including vet appointments and house/pet sitting
Organize and maintain electronic and physical filing systems for receipts, invoices, and documents
Run errands as needed
Monitor and ensure the security and maintenance of the property
Respond to urgent property-related matters, including security alerts
Source and manage contractors and service providers for property maintenance
Oversee on-site vendor activities and evaluate completed work
Coordinate deliveries, resupplies, and general household needs
Maintain a detailed “House Operations Manual” for property systems and schedules
Supervise household maintenance, including laundry and dry cleaning
Work with contractors, such as plumbers, electricians, and carpenters, to address property needs Maintain an updated contact list for personal and professional use
Manage scheduling, documentation, and record-keeping for medical care
Coordinate car maintenance and serviceThe successful candidate has:
Requirements: Legal authorization to work in Canada (citizenship or permanent residence)
Valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle
Up-to-date vaccinations (flu)
No allergies to cats
Physical capability to lift up to 30 lbsCompensation and benefits: The discussed salary range is $90,000 – $175,000 depending on experience
Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered
