We are looking for a skilled Plasma Machine Operator to join our team in Guelph, ON. In this role, you’ll operate plasma cutting machines to precisely cut and shape metal sheets and plates. Responsibilities

  • Operate plasma cutting machines to cut and shape metal sheets and plates
  • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications for precise cuts
  • Prepare workpieces by cleaning, degreasing, and clamping
  • Set cutting parameters such as speed, pressure, and gas flow for optimal results
  • Monitor the cutting process, adjust settings, and troubleshoot as necessary
  • Inspect finished parts for quality control
  • Perform routine maintenance to keep the machine in top condition

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Plasma Machine Operator
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, diagrams, and specifications in both imperial and metric units
  • Strong knowledge of plasma cutting technology and operations
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Capability to perform basic maintenance and troubleshoot issues
  • Ability to work 40+ hours/week
