Our client, a leading North American Industrial Services & Fabrication company, is seeking an experienced PMO Manager to lead strategy and execution for all projects from their Calgary office. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the planning, implementation, and tracking of specific short-term and long-term project orders. As the PMO Manager, you will oversee a team of 8 Project Managers & Project Engineers, driving efficiency, execution, and delivery across key projects. The ideal candidate has a strong background in rotating equipment and packaging and thrives in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities

  • Manage and Lead Projects team, assisting with training and implementing company objectives
  • Define project objectives, establish policies and procedures, and set performance standards
  • Coordinate and direct team members, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure seamless execution
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
  • Review and approve project designs, reports, and technical documentation
  • Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders, maintaining strong communication and transparency
  • Prepare and present progress reports to leadership and key stakeholders
  • Proactively manage risks and resolve project challenges to maintain efficiency

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of experience as a Project Manager or in a similar leadership role.
  • Experience working with process equipment packages is an asset
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, project execution, and industry best practices
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet critical deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a Technical Diploma
