Posting ends: June 14 2025Position Summary:Examines the world of work in Canada from political and legal perspectives. The first section surveys the emergence and evolution of trade unions as social movements and interest organizations. The second section provides students with an overview of employment and labour law in Canada. The course also examines how Canadian constitutional law affects employment and labour law, including decisions under the Charter. An overarching theme is how trade unionism and the regulation of work have changed over time, and how they might evolve into the future.Qualifications – Required: PhD or LLM or JDQualifications – Discipline: Law or Political Science
