Probationary Assistant Professor in Climate Change Studies and Science

The Department of Geography at The University of Winnipeg invites applications for a probationary appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, in accordance with The University of Winnipeg Faculty Association Collective Agreement (2020-2027). Subject to budgetary approval, the date of appointment is anticipated to be July 1, 2026.

Applicants are expected to hold a Ph.D. with a focus on climate change science and/or studies, with demonstrated connections to climate change research. The successful candidate will have a strong record of research, a demonstrated commitment to teaching and mentorship, with expertise to teach undergraduate and graduate Geography courses. Postdoctoral or equivalent experience is considered an asset. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong potential to develop an externally-funded research program that will augment the Department’s existing research expertise.
