The Procurement Coordinator will support purchasing department with daily administrative functions for the procurement process including updating purchase orders with vendor order acknowledgments, daily reporting, data updating, selected buying and other tasks as needed. This is a hybrid role.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform buying for selected lines
- Resolving receiving discrepancies and supplier shipping errors
- Coordinating vendor returns
- Providing back up and support for the procurement, freight and traffic departments
- Liaise with accounts payable on vendor POs and resolve any discrepancy on POs, receiving’s and invoicing
- Assist with data management including part number integrity, pricing and accuracy
Requirements:QUALIFICATIONS
- University / College degree in material management, business, or administration
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in procurement, purchasing, administration, warehousing, logistics, supply chain
- Thorough knowledge of DRP software systems and data entry
- Demonstrated knowledge of purchasing, inventory management and contracting techniques and procedures
- Strong knowledge of inventory control practices
- Knowledge of the appropriate tools for grading, analyzing, and assessing materials, equipment, supplies, services, and other commodities
- Excellent people management and negotiation skills
- Able to consistently represent the company in a professional manner
- Sound judgment and shrewd decision-making skills
- Ability to work with little or no supervision
- Strong writing and presentations skills for creating reports, correspondence, contracts, requests, bids, and other documentation
- Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, attention to details and execution skills
- Ability to respond appropriately in pressure situations with a calm and steady demeanor
- Strong customer service focus
