The Team : Financial Risk Analytics (FRA) provides innovative products and solutions designed to help financial institutions and asset managers effectively measure and manage their counterparty credit risk, market risk, regulatory capital, and derivative valuation adjustments. Utilizing advanced analytics and technology—including a fully vectorized pricing library, Machine Learning, and a scalable Big Data stack—FRA’s solutions are tailored for a diverse range of clients, from tier-one banks to niche firms. Our offerings can be deployed in the cloud or operated as a service, enabling clients to optimize their internal resources while addressing evolving risk and regulatory requirements. Financial Risk Analytics is part of the Risk & Valuations Services (RVS) business unit of S&P Global Market Intelligence
Responsibilities and Impact :
As a Product Specialist in Financial Risk Analytics (FRA), you will function as a subject matter expert and play a pivotal role during the sales process. You will support the FRA commercial team by providing in-depth knowledge of the FRA suite, acting as a bridge between the commercial and product management teams. The FRA suite offers comprehensive solutions that empower organizations to effectively navigate the complexities of financial risk management. By leveraging advanced risk modeling, valuation, and analytics capabilities, you will help identify client needs and position FRA solutions to solve clients’ problems, enhancing their decision-making processes. Additionally, you will serve as a trusted counterpart to our clients during the pre-sales phase, ensuring their requirements are understood and addressed.
Collaborate with Sales Specialists to develop strategic plans for sales opportunities, ensuring FRA and overall RVS quota achievement.
Provide subject matter expertise during diagnostic conversations and lead product demonstrations for the FRA suite.
Address technical product inquiries and coordinate with Client Support and Product teams as needed.
Explain complex calculations and methodologies related to derivatives, fixed income, and equity securities to prospects.
Conduct proof of concepts and lead presentations on results with product support and financial engineering teams.
Facilitate seamless transitions for clients to Onboarding, Integration, and Support Services teams.
Support the FRA commercial team by providing insights and feedback from the field to inform product enhancements and strategy.
Act as a bridge between the commercial and product management teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.
Contribute to the education of Sales Specialists through product training and support.
Generate ideas for outreach campaigns and assist in communication strategies for Sales Specialists.
Develop thought leadership content, including webinars and articles, to showcase the capabilities of the FRA suite.
Provide feedback to product teams based on field observations to inform product enhancements.
C ompensation/Benefits Information:
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $85,773 to $150,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

What We’re Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
Strong technical and client-facing background with a focus on supporting new business growth.
Experience in Risk Management within a Financial Institution or as a provider of solutions to Financial Institutions.
Thorough understanding of market risk concepts, including VAR, Stress Testing, and Attribution.
A commercial mindset with a genuine interest in market and counterparty credit risk workflows.
Background in Financial Engineering is advantageous.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Analytical curiosity and a willingness to engage deeply with product details.
Collaborative approach with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance (preferred) and 5+ years of relevant work experience.
FRM or CFA qualifications are a plus.
Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems.
